Skill Level: Beginners to intermediates
This workshop is geared for artists, but also is great for those that want to know how to get the most out of their camera. The camera is a very important tool for artist. Knowing how to use it with confidence can greatly improve your artwork reference and presentation. This is a 12 hour workshop and will be broken up into four 3 hour sections. It will end with a 3 hour photo shoot with a nude/costumed model.

Areas That Will Be Covered:
• Using Important Manual Settings
• Lighting Techniques
• Color temperature
• Shooting with inexpensive lights, and professional strobe lights
• Working with a model for portraits and fine art projects
• Shooting a still life
• Shooting your 2D & 3D artwork
• PhotoShop overview
• Reference for art projects
• Images for the internet
• and more

Students will need:

1) A digital camera with full manual features. This means you have control over the f-stop (aperture), shutter speed, ISO settings, and can attached an external flash device, (recommendation: Cannon Rebel). There are others that will work, so consult with a photography store.

2) Your camera's user manual. Please bookmark these sections in the manual; aperture/f-stop, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and quality. All digital cameras are different, so it may be hard for Dave to show you where your settings are.

3) A tripod
